Meet The Speakers: Creating Delightful Products with Nesrine Changuel

Learn to design products that users love, remember, and recommend

Want to set your products apart through emotional connection? Nesrine Changuel wrote the book on it.

Nesrine is a product expert, coach, lecturer, and speaker, as well as the author of Product Delight: How to Make Your Product Stand Out with Emotional Connection. This year, ITX is truly delighted to welcome her at the 2026 Product + Design Conference.

After earning her PhD at Alcatel Lucent Bell Labs in Paris, Nesrine worked at Bell Labs as a researcher for five years. She researched a variety of computer science topics, before transitioning to a role in product management at Microsoft. Nesrine has also worked as a product leader at Skype and Spotify, where she focused on enhancing video communication products.

The Covid-19 pandemic changed the way we communicated at work. More distributed teams boosted demand for quality video communication tools. This shift in the video product landscape led Nesrine to her role at Google, where she worked on the Google Meet product. Here, Nesrine was part of the teams building features like background replacement, emoji reactions, and low-light mode—all features that help us personalize the video call experience.

A career in video and multimedia communication grew Nesrine’s passion for creating more delightful product experiences for users. “Delight” has become the focus of her teaching and speaking engagements.

Nesrine released Product Delight in 2025. The book “reveals how emotionally connecting products turn users into fans and fans into advocates.” It challenges product leaders to go beyond functionality and create products that truly resonate with users.

She’ll be bringing this philosophy to the Product + Design conference through her workshop and keynote.

Nesrine’s workshop, “How to Build Product That Stand Out Through Emotional Connection,” will outline her Product Delight framework and show attendees how to design products that users will delight in and recommend to others. Nesrine will focus on the “why” behind user behavior to unlock new product ideas and opportunities to deliver what users want and love. Attendees will have a hands-on experience putting the framework into action to inspire future designs.

Those attending Nesrine’s keynote titled “Beyond Function: The Secret to Building Delightful Products” can expect to learn about the Delight Grid framework. Nesrine will discuss how emotional connection and delight can bring a strategic advantage to designing impactful products. Attendees from all disciplines will leave with a refreshed mindset and practical tips for integrating delight into every phase of product development.

ITX looks forward to welcoming Nesrine to Rochester as one of the 2026 Product + Design Conference speakers. Conference attendees can expect to learn practical tips for building products that delight their users.

You can attend Nesrine’s workshop on Wednesday, June 24 and her keynote on Thursday, June 25th.
